Andrew Giles writes: “We are a happy group of golfers who enjoy great fun on Saturday mornings trying to get round the perennial challenge of local golf courses.”
From early 20’s to 80’s we spend time together in ditches, lakes, undergrowth and occasionally fairways trying to improve our golf – but most of all encouraging one another, having a laugh and trying to get better at this great sport.
We limit it to 9 holes to give us plenty of time to enjoy a drink, a chat and a bacon sandwich together afterwards and relive the highlights of the morning and catch up with each other.
We aim to meet up every 6 weeks or so, and this winter we have played at Lavender Park, Bracknell (never too far away from the clubhouse if the weather turns bad!) and more rounds at Hedsor taking place in the spring and summer.
Golfing events are open to all men, please contact Andrew Giles for more details of the next day out!
