Lisa MacRobert
Night Shelter Co-ordinator

Liza has worked a lot with the young people in the church for several years and now has a full-time job counselling at a local secondary school. In the last few years switched to help with the Night Shelter project over the winters of 2018 and 2019. She has a strong and impressive sense of listening to God and waiting for his calling and is willing to share her faith to all around her. She also enjoys talking about her Scottish roots! She is married to Andrew and they have two children, daughter (19) and son (7). If you were to ask her what is your favourite bible verse it would be this Jerimiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. She has also been known to enjoy a bit of gentle jogging around the community.

“This year the government stepped in but the last two years working for the Homeless were amazing. The guests received at All Saints and elsewhere the most fantastic hospitality, great food, a cinema style movie and warm friendly volunteers who week by week turned out in their numbers. I feel that serving the homeless, becoming their friends and seeing the remarkable changes to their self- esteem is a privilege directly from the Holy Spirit. I’ve also been able to bring my Christian principles and experience with young people to school as I work with many girls to solve their problems which is demanding but gives me huge satisfaction “
