An Especially Special Prayer 3

Our last GAP at Home session completes our look at the Lord’s Prayer, the way Jesus taught his friends to talk to God. As we try to be his friends, we have lots to learn if we are to Stay Safe going forwards. Let’s Be Alert to hear His voice.

Play and Activity Ideas

Toolboxes and workbenches – making things
Dolls Houses – design the rooms to be especially comfortable
Den building – make comfortable, safe areas in it
Build a house with a tower out of blocks or Duplo or Stickle bricks and water it with a watering can, like a storm. Does it break?

On a walk take photos of beautiful things
Make a cacophony of sound with the musical instruments and home-made shakers as if it was a thunder storm

Crafts

Make some shakers out of plastic bottles or old tins (see photo)
Use some things you collect outside that are natural (God-made) and use them to make a picture by sticking them onto paper.
Draw or paint a picture of a house and then splatter it with water as if it was raining.

Games

Musical bumps or musical cushions – Dance around while the musical instruments are playing and sit down quickly when they stop. If there are a few of you find a cushion to sit on when the noise stops. There might not be enough for one each so you have to be quick!
Scavenger hunt – Collect some natural (God-made) things outside and some Man-made things. Sort them into two piles. Line them up.
